Project Overview
Modernization included offering adequate restrooms and the replacement of the parking lot. Technology upgrades were provided in four classrooms.
The reconfiguring of Washington East included renovated restrooms, accessible parking, entrance and circulation. The fire alarm system was upgraded.
Site improvements and landscaping were upgraded throughout campus. Sustainable design features included the reuse of existing facilities, maximizing natural daylight and ventilation, utilizing low emitting materials, minimizing storm water runoff and maintaining construction waste management. Modernization began in the third quarter of 2012 and was completed in the first quarter of 2013.
In 2009, Washington East and West received interior upgrades in classrooms such as painting, flooring and casework.
