The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District is committed to providing our communities with the latest news and information related to our schools and district. The Community & Public Relations Office is under the direction of the Superintendent and is led by the district’s Community & Public Relations Officer, Gail Pinsker. Direct media inquiries to Gail.
Communications Specialist, Esmi Careaga, serves in the Facilities Improvement Projects office, Communications Specialist, Diana Bouchaaya, supports district and FIP projects, and the webmaster Maryanne Solomon oversees the district's 18 websites. Together we strive to communicate important and interesting information to our families, staff and communities.

Parents, staff and community members are welcome to submit photos and stories about SMMUSD programs, and student / staff achievements. Please submit stories of 250-500 words and up to four photos.
