Modernization Project: Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC), Accessibility and Safety/Security Measures

The upgrade and modernization of campus is in process. All classrooms have received new flooring and the interiors have been painted. The contractor has prepared all of the classrooms for improved heating and ventilation and new air conditioning. Our current challenge is that most of the mechanical equipment is delayed due to supply chain issues. The rooms have been prepared for equipment installation as the new system components arrive.  The school has been prepared with temporary systems to provide health protective ventilation on day one. The air conditioning systems will be installed this fall after hours and on weekends as soon as the equipment is received.

Part of this project was to improve accessibility. Restrooms, doors and walkways have been improved to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. This work has been completed for the start of the current school year.   Changes to the accessibility parking and school access has been completed at the main school entrance.

The portion of the Modernization Project to convert all campus access points (doors and gates) to card readers to control access is in progress and will be completed by the start of the school session this year.

Security Cameras

Security cameras have been fully installed, programmed and staff has been trained in the operation of the security system. Security cameras are located around the perimeter of the campus and outdoor areas. They will support increased safety and property management.

We are looking forward to a great start to the new school year!
