• Dia de los Muertos

Every year, towards the end of October or the beginning of November, we host our annual Fall Festival or Dia de los Muertos celebration. Drawing together past and present families, the school comes alive with culture and celebration.  The school’s cafeteria is transformed into a kaleidoscope of color, adorned with student-crafted altars featuring intricate artwork, flickering lights, delicate papel picado honoring departed family members and cherished pets. Inside, the sweet aroma of freshly baked pan de muerto and marigolds mingles with the sight of photographs lovingly displayed alongside the altars. Outside, the festivities abound with lively sugar skull decorating activities, bustling bounce houses, and captivating live performances of Latin music and dance. Amidst laughter and the scent of pozole, tamales, and horchata, this event not only celebrates cultural traditions but also fosters a deep sense of community among Edison families, creating cherished memories and forging enduring connections across generations.
