  • What is Script to Stage?  
    Script to Stage is a nine-week program designed for elementary school students that focuses on developing strong characters and personal reflections through storytelling. Each student collaborates one-on-one with an adult mentor to craft their scripts, culminating in a live performance called the Big Show. This program aligns with National Core and California Arts Standards and integrates CASEL’s SEL Framework and Learning for Justice's Social Justice Standards.

    What is Young Storytellers?  
    Young Storytellers (www.youngstorytellers.com) empowers young people to drive their own narratives. Our mission is to unite people and create stories that amplify voices often overlooked. By helping young individuals recognize the power of their unique stories—shaped by their background, culture, race, gender, sexuality, immigration status, geographic location, and economic situation—we aim to foster a more empathetic and equitable future. We uplift voices, one story at a time.

    How many students can participate in Script to Stage? 
    Script to Stage can accommodate 6 to 8 students per session.  Students are chosen by the teachers and administration based on need.

    Who are the mentors?  
    Mentors include young storytellers, community members, and volunteers, all guided by an experienced head mentor. They assist students in script creation by providing support and encouragement, facilitating the development of students' ideas into compelling scripts.
