"Linking Hearts, Lifting Voices: The Kindness & Justice Challenge"
Each January, our dual immersion community comes together to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the Kindness & Justice Challenge—a month-long journey of compassion, courage, and connection.
Students are challenged to carry out as many acts of kindness and justice as they can. Every good deed is written on a paper link, and together they form powerful classroom chains that stretch through our hallways—visible reminders that small actions can lead to big change.
The challenge culminates with each class creating a unique poster that shares their promise to keep kindness and justice alive all year long. Through this experience, students don’t just learn about Dr. King—they live his values. They reflect on fairness, empathy, and responsibility, all while practicing sociocultural competence, one of the pillars of dual immersion education. It’s about building not just bilingual learners, but thoughtful global citizens.
