McKinley New/Returning Student Remote Enrollment
Greetings, Future McKinley Lions!
We hope you and your family have been well during these times. As you know, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, McKinley’s Elementary School’s doors are closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. We, however, are committed to continuing to educate, connect, and serve our school community remotely. As a result of the closing of our school, we are so happy to announce that McKinley is going to continue the enrollment process virtually until further notice.
New Student Enrollment Procedures:
To obtain your enrollment packet, you must first provide proof of residency within McKinley’s boundaries. You can find the required proof of residency requirements here: Documents Required for Verification/Proof of Residence. Please scan and email your proof of residency as listed below to Ms. Noelle Sandoval: email@example.com In the subject line of your email, please put: McKinley Enrollment: Your Childs Name and Grade
i.e., McKinley Enrollment: Noelle Sandoval, Kindergarten
Once your proof of residence has been reviewed and verified, Ms. Noelle will email your enrollment packet. You will need to scan and return to Ms. Noelle no later than Friday, June 5th, 2020, along with the following:
- Your Child’s Birth Certificate, Passport, or Hospital Certificate.
- Immunization Records (see below regarding vaccinations)
- Report Cards, if any, from the previous school.
Please Note: For all bills, everything must be current or no more than 30 days old. In total, you will need (3) forms of billing. Also, please keep all your enrollment paperwork together; this includes proof of residency, Birth Certificate/Passport, and Immunization Records.
Information Regarding Vaccines:
All required vaccine documentation must be scanned and submitted with the other required documents before new students can enroll in our district. If your student is missing immunizations, please call your medical provider and schedule an appointment to get updated. Vaccine appointments are a necessary service, and according to the website Shots for Schools: “Even with current school closures, immunization requirements for admission to school or child care in California for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school year remain in place”. If you are having trouble getting an appointment at your medical provider, please reach out to other local clinics; they may be accepting “immunization only appointments.” Please refer to www.shotsforschool.org for more detailed information regarding immunization requirements.
