    Pre-Qualification Requirements: Contractor Pre-Qualification Bid Process Posted

    Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District has contracted with Colbi Technologies, Inc. to provide a no-cost web-based process for formal and informal (CUPCCA) bidding prequalification called QualityBidders. Prequalification will be required pursuant to California Assembly Bill (AB) 1565 which went into effect on January 1, 2014.     Public Contract Code 20111.6 requires the district to pre-qualify for certain projects. PCC 20111.6 applies to prime contractors and M/E/P sub-contractors with the following licenses:

    • General Contractors (A and B)
    • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing subcontractors (C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 and C-46)

    Specific project bidding requirements will be included in the Notice to Contractors Calling for Bids specification section 00 10 00.
