Special Education Department

  • Special Education is specialized instruction that is available to students who qualify according to a set of criteria outlined in state and federal law. Special Education services are offered to eligible students from birth through age 22 by all public school districts.

Students who qualify have personalized IEPs that are designed to remediate their areas of needs given their disability. We have modes of instruction designed to support students with varying levels of need. Our goal is to ensure students have access to their education in the least restrictive environment—the general education classroom - whenever possible.
