English Language Support

English Language Development (K-5)
All students designated as English Learners receive both integrated and designated English Language Development (ELD) from their classroom teacher.
Supplemental English Language Development (4-5)
In addition, English Learner students in grades 4-5 can qualify for extra English support from our Language and Literacy Interventionist. This support consists of 30–40 minutes of small group instruction during the school day, focusing on the students' language needs. Students qualify for this extra support based on their test scores and teacher recommendations. Parents will be notified if their child qualifies and will receive progress reports regularly until their child exits.

Students new to the United States and just beginning to learn English can qualify for extra English support from our Language and Literacy Interventionist.
