Our middle school academic program is based on a progressive platform. From 6th to 8th grade, students take on an increasingly comprehensive and challenging curriculum. The amount and difficulty of homework also changes during these years. A core program of language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and physical education defines our middle school program. Sixth graders are enrolled in Humanities where they learn language arts and social studies; this allows them to move more smoothly from elementary to middle school. Selected students are able to go on to honors mathematics starting in the 6th grade.

The goal is to help our students navigate the middle school years while giving them the tools and encouragement to achieve academically and personally. Our small, personalized school allows a flexible academic program to meet the needs of all students.
