Contact Teachers with Questions During School Closure

March 14, 2020

Dear John Muir Families -

Throughout the length of the school closure, our teachers will be “on call” via email during regular school hours to answer any questions that you or your child may have. Teachers know to get back to you within 24 hours. The list of teacher emails is below.

While our school facilities are closed, beginning Tuesday, children enrolled in any SMMUSD school or program will be able to pick up free breakfast and lunch at the following schools: Santa Monica High School, McKinley Elementary, Rogers Elementary in Santa Monica and Webster Elementary in Malibu. If you are sick, we ask that children or adults do not come to school. Our district will provide additional information regarding the specific pick-up time and location at these sites before Tuesday. SMMUSD families may go to any of these schools even if not enrolled there. It is being requested that students have their student ID number. We can provide you with your child’s ID number as requested during work pickup on Monday at Muir.

As a reminder, all meetings, assemblies, school events, and volunteer opportunities are canceled until further notice. All field trips are canceled for the remainder of the school year.

Thank you for your continued calm, patience, and understanding during this trying time. We appreciate your ongoing support of the John Muir Community.

Sincerely-

Paula Lytz,
Principal John Muir Elementary
