"Hands-On Science Unit", Morri Spang, Grade 4: Funds science kits and a microscope to learn and demonstrate scientific method using electricity, circuitry, foils, wind and forensic investigative methodology.

"Poet in Residence", Carol Timmerman, Grades 3, 4, 5: Funds a poetry teacher to conduct six to eight sessions for special education students to improve descriptive language, vocabulary skills and target IEP writing goals, culminating in An Evening of Poetry Reading event for parents.

"Nutrition in the Classroom", Leslie Talt, Grade 2: Funds a nutritionist and supplies to learn about and improve nutrition through hands-on activities using math, science and language arts.

"A Digital Look at Our Community", Glen Olsheim, Amy Levy, Grade 4: Funds a digital camera to record Santa Monica landmarks. Students will plan layout and text to produce a multimedia presentation for Open House

"Digital Portfolio of Authentic Assessment", Steve Reifman, Grade 3: Funds a digital camera which allows the teacher to take candid pictures of students learning; facilitates a presentation for Open House and participation in the weekly class newsletter and other documents.

"Chicano/Latino Arts Production", Adan Avalos, Elias Serna, Grades 11, 12: Funds the purchase of supplies for a new course on U.S. Chicano-Latino arts emphasizing theater and visual arts.

"Teaching with Technology", Mary K. Rubin, Grade 10: Funds projector and screen to teach effectively how to use graphing calculators to facilitate student understanding of new technologies in all grades.

"Digital Portfolio and Business Plan Project", Teri Jones, Anita Kemp, Meiko Just-Daire, Carole Serbin, Grade 12: Funds equipment and services of a consultant for creation of digital portfolio based on pupil’s area of study which will better help them compete for jobs.

"Radio SAMOHI", Bryan Sanders, Grade 9-12: Funds equipment for radio station and Net site to open up creative opportunities for all students to record their accomplishments.

"Environment and Marine Organisms", Ingo Gaida, Grade 11, 12: Funds equipment to collect and analyze environmental data from Santa Monica Bay (salinity, temperature, specific gravity and barometric pressure) to determine influences on marine plankton thus learning the relationship between organisms and the environment.

"Poetry Performance", Rob Thais, Grade 12: Funds PA equipment to enable students to practice public speaking and "performing" their art.
