  • A reference tool created by natives and long-time residents of countries to give an "insider's perspective." Statistical information is from the United Nation's "Human Development Report" or the CIA World Factbook.
  • Using "World Edition,
    students can look up a country by using the "Select a region or country" option in the upper-left corner OR by clicking on the map.
  • Includes background on the country, people, customs, life style, and society as well as a photo gallery, recipe collection, the national anthem, currency converter, and famous people.
  • Students can navigate the country's website or "view full report as PDF" which allows for easy printing.
  • "Citation Information" appears at the bottom of the page.

  • Clicking on the "reference" tab, students can search encyclopedias, almanacs, and atlases. (Good for background.)
  • A basic search includes newspapers, magazines, books, maps, pictures, audio/video, and radio/television transcripts. (Good for additional information.)
  • Searches can be easily limited to yield only specific types of sources or information from a requested date range.
