First Ever Kid-Powered SMMUSD Leadership Conference

 

City at Peace-Los Angeles will lead a full-day workshop for fifty to sixty pre-selected 3rd-5th grade students from diverse SMMUSD Elementary Schools.  Using the arts as a vehicle, City at Peace-Los Angeles will provide participants with tools to identify their individual and unique leadership skills and how to use these skills in conjunction with their greater school community to create an action plan around school issues most important to them.

 

The event will be held on Wednesday, November 14th, at Grant Elementary School (2368 Pearl St.) in Santa Monica, from 8:30am-2:00pm.

 

Students participating in the event were nominated by their school principals.
