Santa Monica High School Performing Arts Department Presents
Homecoming Spectacular 2003

Santa Monica High School's Performing Arts Department will present the 2003 Homecoming Spectacular Concert on Thursday, October 23rd, 2003. The most advanced performing ensembles will be showcased Thursday evening as a part of the Homecoming Celebrations.

Samohi is known nationally and internationally for producing high achieving musicians and music ensembles. Samohi sends a steady stream of graduates to the most prestigious music schools and conservatories in the world. The music industry boasts many Samohi graduates who have made, and continue to make, tremendous contributions to the performance arts.

The Spectacular Concert will begin at 7 p.m., and will be held in the newly restored Barnum Hall on the Samohi campus, 601 Pico Boulevard. The concert will feature the Samohi Marching Band, the Symphony Orchestra, the Madrigal Ensemble, the Wind Ensemble, the Dance Ensemble, the Cheer Leaders, the Chamber Singers, and the Samohi Serenaders and Bluenotes (Samohi's Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Choir).

Ticket sales for this event will help support the students in the performing ensembles by providing money to purchase instruments, music, performance clothing, and other equipment needs. Tickets are $10.00 at the door, or pre-sale tickets may be purchased by sending an order to Santa Monica High School, attn. Dr. Carl Hammer, 601 Pico Boulevard, Santa Monica, Ca. 90405. All are welcome to attend: Alumni, Parents and Family, Students, Faculty and Staff, Administration, Future Students of Samohi, and Friends of Samohi. This will be the first concert of the season. Already, the students are ready to display the usual high achievement that has come to be associated with Santa Monica High School Performing Ensembles.
