SMMUSD FIRE UPDATE

10/28/03 - 12:00 p.m.

All public schools in Santa Monica and Malibu are open. All roads in Malibu are open at this time including Pacific Coast Highway, Kanan Road and Malibu Canyon Road.

As of this morning, Malibu continues to be on alert due to the extreme weather conditions and the Simi Valley Fire. The Fire Department's concern regarding the potential threat to Malibu has diminished.

We will post another update only if necessary.
