Boys and Girls Club of Malibu
Reaches Out to Help
The Boys and Girls Club of the Malibu Teen Center is organizing a donation drive joining local Fire Station 71 to support firefighter battalions in New York City. Captain Neely of Fire Station 71 and some of his company will be picking up the donations collected from the Celebration of Malibu Youth event on Saturday, September 15 at 5:00 p.m.. They will make sure that the money collected will go directly to those that need it most.
Please look for donation jugs at Webster Elementary, Point Dume Elementary, Cabrillo Elementary and Malibu
High School over the next two days. There will also be a donation jug at the Boys and Girls Club of Malibu. No
checks please.
The Boys and Girls Club members thought this was a great way to show our support for the victims of the tragic
and horrific events on the East coast. Residents of Malibu are well aware of what heroes their local fire fighters
are and stand in support of their colleagues in New York.
