Recently the Washington Post reported that one of the country’s largest school bus builders, Thomas Built Buses Inc., issued a warning to school districts that the brake systems on an estimated 6,000 of its buses may be defective.

This notice is to inform that none of the school buses in the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District’s fleet are affected by this warning. The district constantly monitors the safety of our buses as does the California Highway Patrol.
