County-Wide Nutritional Services for Women and Children

The Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) food program is a federally funded program designed to provide
infants, children under 5, pregnant and nursing women with special foods for better health. Each month,
eligible families receive vouchers that are good for specific foods at local markets. Individual nutritional
counseling is also provided on a monthly basis. For information, call 1 (626) 856-6600.

Battered Women's Shelter

Sojourn- By calling Sojourn, a woman gets in touch with the whole network of shelters and a bed will be found
for her, if one is available, somewhere "safe" and appropriate.
