Welcome to the SUMS 2 Algebra project for the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School district! SUMS 2 Algebra will be launched this fall in twenty-seven 4th- 8th grade classrooms. These classrooms will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology that will dramatically change how teachers teach and students learn. During the two-year project, SUMS teachers will participate in over 120 professional development hours centered on the use of technology as a tool for deepening students' conceptual understanding of mathematics. This project is funded in part by the federal EETT (Enhancing Education Through Technology) competitive grant program.
