Current Permit Student Verification

Dear Parent or Guardian of SMMUSD Permit Student:

Last year, a new law Assembly Bill (AB) 2444, was passed simplifying the permit process for continuing permit students. Under AB 2444, a student who is already enrolled in a school district on an interdistrict permit, no longer has to reapply annually for a release from their resident school district.

If your child will be returning to SMMUSD for the 2012-2013 school year, we are requesting that you complete the “Verification of Continuing Enrollment” form enclosed in this letter in order to secure your child's continuing enrollment in SMMUSD. Please complete this form and submit it to Student Services by June 30, 2012.

We will not contact you unless:
  • you do not submit this form to Student Services, or,
  • your child's permit is cancelled due to violations of the SMMUSD Permit Contract

All students applying for a permit for the first time will still need to get a release from their home school district.

Estimado Padre o Tutor de Estudiante con Permiso de SMMUSD:

Efectivo el 1 de enero del 2011 una nueva ley, Proyecto de Ley (AB) 2444, simplifica el proceso de permiso para estudiantes que continúan con permiso. Bajo AB2444, un estudiante que ya está inscrito en un distrito escolar con un permiso interdistrital, ya no tiene que volver a aplicar anualmente para que le permitan salir de su distrito escolar de residencia.

Si su hijo/a va a volver a SMMUSD para el año escolar 2012-2013, por favor complete el formulario de verificación de la inscripción continua incluido en esta carta para lograr continuar con la inclusión de su hijo/a en SMMUSD. Por favor envíe el formulario a la oficina de “Student Services” no más tarde del 30 de junio de 2012.

No nos pondremos en contacto con ustedes a menos que:

  • Usted no presente este formulario a “Student Services”, o,
  • El permiso de su niño(a) sea cancelado debido a violaciones del Contrato de Permiso de SMMUSD

Todos los estudiantes solicitando un permiso por primera vez, todavía tendrán que obtener un permiso del distrito escolar de residencia.
