As a Support Provider, part of the job is to assist teachers in completing the Induction program. How will you motivate teachers to complete this work even at times when their enthusiasm may wane?

I will provide fun snacks and make our meetings an opportunity to chat, grow and laugh.  We need more laughter as teachers!

With Language Arts, I think the most complicated part of the process is finding time to manage the paper load for your classes as well as the Induction program.  Hence, helping teachers find a balance and ways to manage the paper load is essential!

You have to have enthusiasm for both of you.  Find ways to inspire them so that they want to keep moving forward.  Remind them of what they have already accomplished and that they are moving forward toward the next goal!

As a Support Provider, part of the job is to assist teachers in completing the Induction program. How will you motivate teachers to complete this work even at times when their enthusiasm may wane?

I will advise and give feedback, consistently. It is my job to support my participating teacher in all ways that I can, so I will do any work that I can to make her workload more manageable. For example, if I have a contact that can provide her with some information she needs, I will reach out to those people to provide her with the information to complete her work. In addition, I will keep things light and mostly use my experiences to advise.

Having experienced BTSA paperwork and SST paperwork, I think it is important to show teachers that many of the documentation includes things that teachers are already doing and it is just a matter of culling that awareness and making the paperwork make sense and feel reasonable and valid.
